Plated by Herman BRONSON in 1837. Originally founded in 1827 when the Ohio Canal was built.

Peninsula Peaches:

The first building here was a log building built by Alonzo DEE.

The town was named Peninsula because of the shape of the land.

Revere Cemtary, Harrington Cemetary, Wyoga Lake Park Cemetary, Ira Cemetary,

Portage lakes:  Located in West Akron.

Paxton-Located in Wadsworth.

Powers Creek: Named for Revolutionary War soldier Gregory Powers.
